Helena Morrissey – chief executive of Newton Investment and Opportunity Now gender equality campaigner – has been telling BBC Breakfast about the Project 28-40 study.
It aims to survey 100,000 women about their experience of the workplace to address issues such as the glass ceiling and low pay.
Ms Morrissey said companies needed to encourage flexible working: “I can see from my older children that they’re going to expect work to be an activity, not a place, and companies have yet to respond, which is a huge opportunity for not just women but for anyone who wants to balance their lives.”
